How To Treat A Sore Throat This Autumn

How to treat a sore throat yourself this autumn and anything time you have sore throat. Sore throats are mostly caused by viruses (cold or flu) or from smoking.

Sore throats can be painful especially when you try to swallow and also cause bad breath too!

Symptom includes:

  • Dry and scratchy throat

  • Bad breath

  • mild cough

  • swollen neck glands

  • Been uncomfortable in general

You can treat this Symptoms by smoothing a sore throat and shorten the period of time it last. Few ways to treat sore throat yourself are:

  • Drinking plenty of water, it is good when you have a sore throat.

  • The technique of gargling with warm and salty water (please children shouldn't try this).

  • Eating cooler foods.

  • Sucking Ice cubes, ice lollies or some hard sweet but remember do not give children anything small and hard to suck because of the risk of choking!

  • Use of Paracetamol or Ibuprofen, you can also use medicated lozenges or anaesthetic sprays which you can buy from a #pharmacist and #supermarket without prescription.

Sore throats are very common and normally nothing to worry about. They usually get better within a week or two themselves.
